Anthony “Tony” Victor Romeo, 82, born Feb. 12, 1934 peacefully passed away Oct. 10, 2016. Tony is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years Joan Romeo, his parents, Antonio and Cecelia Romeo, and his brothers Anunzio Romeo and Ralph Romeo. He is survived by his beloved sister Frances Doran of Berwick, Pennsylvania, and his children Lynne (Massimo) Erspamer, Linda (Andrew) Poulter, Tricia (Greg) Comstock and Karen (Rachel Dunaway) Romeo. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Mirko Erspamer, Gabriele Erspamer, Geena Poulter, Angela Comstock, and Bridget Poulter, and many nieces and nephews.
Tony was born in Hazleton, PA, and spent his youth in Freeland, PA. He graduated from Lehigh University in 1955 and soon after was employed as an aerospace engineer by the Martin Marietta Company in Baltimore, MD. Tony was transferred to the Denver Division where he met his sweetheart Joan. Marrying a short time after, they raised their four daughters in Littleton, CO. After 38 years Tony retired from the Martin Company. While retired he and Joan enjoyed traveling abroad and spending time in Florida. He also enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. Tony was a compassionate, generous, family man who will be missed by many.
Rosary October 17, 2016, at 7:00 pm at Drinkwine Mortuary. Memorial Mass October 18, 2106 at 11:30 am at St. Mary’s Church in Littleton, CO, with a reception following. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to Porter Hospice Foundation (Centennial CO).
