Barney Weston Polk

Barney W. Polk passed away December 3, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born April 3, 1941 to Howard & Elda Ruth Polk in Denver, CO. He graduated South High School in 1959, then proceeded to join the Army. Shortly after being discharged from the Army he started with Public Service Company of Colorado and retired after 34years. He married Arlene Unger on June 27, 1965 and together raised 2 children, Wes and Jamie. Barney enjoyed camping, fishing, clogging and fidgeting with his many gadgets. He also enjoyed following his kids and grandkids in their many athletic endeavors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard & Elda Ruth, his step-mother Margaret, and his two sisters, Karen Cahow and Gail Polk. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Arlene Polk, his son Wes (Chandra) Polk, daughter Jamie (Mike) Belitz, his three grandkids, Casey Polk, Anthony Belitz and Kirsten Belitz, his sister Nancy Lindback, and numerous nieces and nephews.   

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 10AM at Drinkwine Family Chapel; a reception to follow at the Polk residence.
