Bette Ann (Dion) Brinkley

Bette Ann (Dion) Brinkley, a devoted wife and mother died April 10, 2016 after a 10-year battle with COPD.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years Lemuel G. Brinkley, Jr. of Highlands Ranch, CO; two children, Barrie Lyn Brinkley of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Brooke Ann (Brinkley) Powell and her husband John of Culver City, CA; one grandchild, Damara Brinkley Powell of Culver City, CA; one step-grandchild, Ariel Lyn Brinkley of Jonesboro, AR; her beloved dog Kane; as well as a host of dear friends.

A time of fellowship will be held at Drinkwine Mortuary on April 21, 2016 at 1 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 2 PM. A burial at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Bette requested donations be made to her memorial fund at Dumb Friends League, 2080 S. Quebec St., Denver, CO 80231, phone 303-751-5772, www.ddfl.org. The Dumb Friend’s League is an animal shelter she loved and worked with as a foster parent to provide a loving home for dogs who were sick and injured and required rehabilitation before moving on to their forever homes.
