Betty L. Shuler

Betty L. Shuler, 81, of Latrobe, PA, formerly of Littleton, CO, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 in the Mountain View Specialty Care Center, Unity Township. She was born November 22, 1934 in St. John, KS, a daughter of the late Milo C. and Ida R. (Watson) Hamilton.

Prior to retirement, Betty worked in the Classified Ads Dept. of the Rocky Mountain News, Denver, CO. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, quilting and cross stitching.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Shuler in 1988. She is survived by three children, Ruth Bolland and her husband Bud of Latrobe, PA, James H. Shuler and his wife Karen of Cascade, CO, and Sharon G. Guier and her husband Steve of Sweet Springs, MO; four grandchildren, Wesley Guier, Michele Whitney, Mitchell Guier, and Amanda Shuler; eleven great grandchildren, Ruby, Ivy, Levi, and Zady Guier, Drake, Lucy, and Qwen Whitney, Alexander Shuler, and Madie, Charli, and Phoebe Guier; three sisters, Bonnie Hunsicker (Carl) of Murfreesboro, NC, Vicki Sue Lance (Ed) of Minneapolis, KS, and Kay Bross (Phil) of Cincinnati, OH.

Friends will be received Sunday from 3 to 6 PM followed by a Funeral Service Monday at 11:00 AM, both at Drinkwine Family Mortuary. Interment will follow at Littleton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Edwin A. Bemis Public Library
