Welcome to the memorial page for

Bryan L. Schesser

July 11, 1967 ~ January 14, 2017 (age 49) 49 Years Old

Bryan L. Schesser, architect, Porsche enthusiast and adrenaline junkie passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017. To his family and friends, Bryan will best be remembered as a devoted son, adored brother, loving and protective husband, unpredictable dad and stalwart friend.

In trying to capture the true essence of Bryan throughout his life, we, his family, came up with a plethora of words that most accurately describe his complexity:  prankster, stubborn, argumentative, proud, humble, grit, loving, gruff, tough, strong, relentless, perfectionist, creative, wise, spirited, kind, generous, intelligent, reckless and fighter.

Although Bryan was an architect by profession, his deeper passion was for all things automotive. He loved tinkering on cars - not because they were broken but because they could always be improved on, aka faster. He loved riding his motorcycles over the beautiful Colorado mountain passes and going just a little bit too fast. He especially liked working on his Porsche and restoring old GM trucks.

Bryan loved being outdoors. At home, he waged mighty battles against the dreaded Japanese beetles that invaded his rose garden every Spring. Whenever Bryan could convince the rest of the family to join him,  he'd hit the road to go ATVing, 4-wheeling and camping. He quite loved scaring his family on steep treacherous trails; perhaps he thought we'd somehow catch his need for adrenaline rushes.

Bryan is survived by his wife Sara, his beautiful children Max and Ave, his brothers Greg, Doug and Scott, his parents Don (and Michele) Schesser and Patricia Ertel Jonez, and by his Gigi. He's now with his beloved grandparents and Joey, his baby brother. If Bryan were still here, he'd tell us all to "gut up" and get over it.

Per Bryan's request, contributions in his honor can be made to the Max and Ave Education Fund (Sara Schesser, Trustee), at any Bellco Credit Union location.

A Celebration of Bryan's Life is planned for Saturday, July 8, 2017. All who knew and loved him are invited. Details of time and place will be forthcoming.
