Cecil James Lewis

Cecil J Lewis was born July 24, 1919 in Missouri to Frank and Verna Mae Lewis. Served in World War II in the Army Air core in the European theater. He married Virginia Greve August 24, 1946 in Pueblo Colorado. He went to work for Mountain Bell telephone and telegraph company where he enjoyed  successful career that spanned 30 plus years retiring in 1982 at the age of 62.

He was a avid Denver Bronco fan holding season tickets for many years. He was a devoted family man and his love for his family was only exceeded by his love for his county.  He was a man that was well loved by anyone who he came into contact with.  He recently celebrated his 50 year anniversary as a Mason and was a member of Eastern Star.   They had two children Walter and Jill.

He was preceded in death by his son Walt. He is survived my his wife Virginia of 68 years. his daughter Jill and her husband Jim. Four grandchildren Dustin (Ingrid) Lewis, Carrie (Daniel) Tomaino, Travis (Danielle) Esa, Andrea (Nate) Wolfe.  Six great granchildren Caleb, Hannah, Kyle, Mathew, Carter, and Kinsley.

Visitation Monday 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Drinkwine Mortuary. Funeral services Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Drinkwine Family Chapel to Chapel Hill Cemetery.
