Darlis Ann Weinreich

Darlis Ann Weinreich, 82, of Centennial, Colorado passed from Earth to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven on June 19, 2016.

Darlis was born to William and Marcela Roepeke on December 28, 1933, in Kingsley, Iowa, and had one sister, Dixie LeMoine. Darlis was a cheerleader at Kingsley High School, which is when she met her high school sweetheart, Don Weinreich, through neighboring Pierson High School. Following her graduation, Darlis married Don on November 9, 1952. Together, they traveled from Kingsley, Iowa to Fort Lee, Virginia in 1954 to serve in the United States Army. Darlis and Don gave birth to their first daughter, Kim Ann Weinreich (Hielscher) in 1955. In 1957, Darlis and Don moved to Denver, Colorado, and in 1961 they gave birth to their second daughter, Karla Lee Weinreich (Shrader). Darlis enjoyed traveling, spending time with her friends, family, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and was an active member in her church communities where enjoyed teaching children about the love of Jesus Christ.

Darlis is survived by her husband, Don Weinreich, sister, Dixie LeMoine, daughter, Kim Weinreich (Hielscher), son in laws, Ray Hielscher and Jeff Shrader, grandchildren, Abby Cuddy, Courtney Brewer, Caleb Hielscher, Carrie Zwanzig, extended family Mike Cuddy, Adam Brewer, Caleb Zwanzig, and great grandchildren, Selah and Charis Brewer. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marcela Roepeke, and daughter, Karla.

Darlis’ memorial service will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 11:00am at Drinkwine Mortuary, 999 West Littleton Boulevard, Littleton, Colorado. A reception will be held following the service. Darlis’ burial will be held at Fort Logan Cemetery on Tuesday, June 28th at 12:30 p.m.
