Dorothy McKeown Macrum

Dorothy Macrum passed away peacefully in Englewood on March 24, 2017 at the age of 98.  She was born in Denver on October 10, 1918 to Dr. Elmer and Edith McKeown.  She graduated from Colorado College where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority.  It was there that she met Dick Macrum whom she married December 26, 1941.  They lived in the Denver/Littleton area until a relocation to Glenwood Springs in 1968.  Then it was off to San Diego for their retirement years, until a move back to Denver in 2007 to be closer to family.

Dorothy’s husband, Dick, preceded her in death.  She is survived by her children, Dick Macrum, Jr of Ft. Collins and Margie (Mark) Johnson of Centennial, three grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  

She loved people, enjoyed golf, travel, bridge, reading, and did some snowmobiling and skiing.  She was in P.E.O. for 64 years. To sum it up, she loved LIFE.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Please join us for the memorial service to be held April 15, 2017 at the Englewood First Presbyterian Church, 3500 S. Logan St., Englewood, CO 80113 at 11:00am.

We would also invite you to a celebration of her life which will be held at 12:00 noon following the service. It will be at the Englewood Meridian at 3455 S. Corona St, Englewood, CO 80113.
