Edith Marie Lambert Higby, age 90, passed away on August 26, 2015 in Castle Rock, CO. She was born on May 10, 1925 in Elizabeth, CO, the second youngest of five children born to Fred N. and Anna Amilia Grunwald. Edie attended school in Elizabeth, CO. She married Joseph M. Lambert, Sedalia, CO. on May 22, 1948. Two sons, Joseph Mark and Keith Murray, and one daughter, Kendra Joyce, were born to this marriage. In 1993, she married Charles Higby, Payette, ID. Edie was employed at Englewood State Bank and Ramsour Brothers Construction Company, Castle Rock, CO. She was an active member of the Sedalia Home Demonstration Club, Douglas County Young Farmers and Homemakers, and F.O.E. Auxillary, Castle Rock, CO. Edie was a long time member of the St. Philip-in-the-Field Episcopal Church, Sedalia CO. and active in the altar guild as well. Some of her favorite times were spent traveling, visiting children and grandchildren, sewing and crafts, lunches with good friends, and social events. She is survived by her three children; two sons, J Mark Lambert, Sundance, WY; Keith (Cindy) Lambert, Sundance, WY; and daughter, Kendra (Ken) Hood, Fowler, CO. Six grandchildren, J Matt (Anna) Lambert, Billings, MT; Sarah (Preston) Mease, Guymon, OK; Amanda (Ethan) Yonker, Casper, WY; Jenny (Chris) Knievel, Casper, WY; Joe Lambert, Sundance, WY and Lacey (BJ) New, Sterling, CO. Five great-grandchildren, Carly Lambert, Lyla and Lane Yonker, Carter and Ella Knievel. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Lambert and her second husband, Charles Higby, two sisters and two brothers. The family would like to express our heart felt gratitude to all of her friends and family for their support during these last few months.
