Ernest Arthur GomezSeptember 14, 1959 ~ October 17, 2017 (age 58)
Ernest Arthur Gomez, age 58, passed away on Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 at the Denver Hospice Center. He was hospitalized for over 6 months when he suffered a Grand Mal seizure on April 25th.
Ernie was born in Trinidad, Colorado to Ernest L. and Frances A. Gomez. He was the oldest of three children. Ernie graduated Littleton High School with Honors in 1977 five months ahead of his class. After graduation, he started a career with King Soopers Grocers. In his early twenties, Ernie left the grocery business and began a career in the Plumbing field, working with his father in the Family business and continued throughout his final days.
Ernie started playing the trumpet when he was nine years old and was always passionate about music and fast cars. His Favorite type of music was rock and roll from the early Beatles to Led Zeppelin but he his favorite musician was Sammy Hagar. Ernie lived all over the city Denver but called Littleton home.
Ernie is survived by his son Adam (Kylie) Gomez, father Ernest L. Gomez, sister Terri (Ray) Duran, brother Gary (Barbara) Gomez and many nephews and nieces and many, many more extended family members. Preceded in death by his mother Frances “Ann” Gomez.
The Funeral services will be held at Drinkwine Mortuary for both the Viewing and Memorial service. Monday, October 23, 2017 between 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. for Viewing and reflection. Memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 24th, 2017 at 11:00am. A reception will be held after the Memorial service at Riverwalk Club House located at 2751 W. Riverwalk Circle, Littleton Colorado 80120.
