Frank was born on October 10, 1967 and grew up in Peoria, Illinois. He moved to Colorado his junior year in high school.  He graduated from Pomona High School in 1986, where he played basketball and football.   He attended the University of Northern Colorado, where he played football for Coach Joe Glenn. Frank was drafted into the NFL by the New Orleans Saints and played 10 years in the NFL as a tight end and long snapper.  He played for the Saints, Dolphins, and Ravens with short term stints with the Broncos and Eagles.  Frank was on the 2000 Super Bowl winning Ravens team.  A back injury ended his NFL career following the Super Bowl. Frank was a great businessman and started his own distributorship and multiple other businesses in the medical device and sales industry.

Frank had a passion for coaching young athletes and enjoyed fishing, working in the yard and spending time at his cabin in Columbine Lake.  Above all, Frank’s favorite thing to do was watch his kids play sports.

Frank believed in participating in research and education to create knowledge and awareness in the medical field, specifically, in the sports industry to make sports safer for all athletes. Accordingly, Frank donated his brain to the Concussion Legacy Foundation for the study of short and long term impact of CTE - Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy.
