Children: Danien Elise Van Wagenen (Dani) of San Diego, CA and Laura Lynn Van Wagenen-Birdsill of Lakewood, CO

Grandchildren: Giselle Elise Jimenez of San Diego, CA; Enzo Lee Jimenez of San Diego, CA and Remi Elise Birdsell, Lakewood, CO

Gary graduated from Westminister High School in 1960, Army National Guard Boot Camp, Fort Leonard Wood, MO - completed October 1964. He served six years in the Army National Guard of Colorado 140th Signal Battalion and was discharged in 1970.

He was married on June 1, 1968 to Marilyn Ruth Ramseier (Marti).

A celebration of life service will be held on June 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at The American Legion - Lakewood.
