Hazel Marie Manarchy

Hazel ( Sunny) Marie Manarchy, 95, formerly of Littleton, CO, passed away  April 20, 2017. She was born February 12, 1922 in Belvidere, Illinois, the daughter of Winthrop S. O’Brien and Helen Marie Van Velzer O’Brien.  She lived her childhood days in Rochelle, Illinois, and after marrying Gary P. Hill, lived in Rock Falls, Illinois where she dedicated her love to her husband and  to her family.  Later in her life, Hazel married Samuel Manarchy.  They lived in Glendale, California, and then they moved to Littleton, CO. Hazel had been a resident of Littleton and a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Parish, for thirty-seven years. 

Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Ryan of Littleton, CO;  a son and daughter-in law,  John and Marianne Hill of Nederland, CO;  and a daughter and son-in-law,  Elizabeth and Tony Mansfield of Emerald Isle, North Carolina.  Also surviving are  grandchildren:  Laurie Wicks, Gary Scarselli, Tawnashae Scalese, and Kristin Hoselton.  Great-grandchildren are Elizabeth and Robert Scarselli, Travis, Justin, and Brady Wicks; Taylor, Gia, and Vincent Scalese, Haley, Hanna, and Riley Hoselton.

Hazel was preceded in death by Gary Hill, her first husband, and by her second husband, Samuel Manarchy.

Hazel's life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held Tuesday, May 2, at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Parish followed by a reception at the church, and then burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
