James A. “Jim” Dennis, 87, of Morrison, CO passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. He was born on March 5, 1930 at home in Maumee, OH, to Charles and Marguerite (Pilliod) Dennis. He married the love of his life, Wilma Goff, on September 10, 1955. They spent 46 years in Ohio before moving to Colorado in 1976.
 
 Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Wilma, in 2003.  He is survived by his four children, Scott (Joanne) Dennis, Cindy (Ron) Lanz, Lisa (John) Losasso, and Patrick (Cathy) Dennis. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Aaron) Osborne, Michael (Melissa), Losasso, Blake Dennis, Christopher Dennis, Olivia Dennis, Sam Dennis, Alexandra Lanz, and Robert Lanz. He was a proud great grandfather to Natalie and Kade Osborne.
 
Jim served in the United States Air Force from January 1951 to January 1954. 
He graduated from The Ohio State University in with a degree in Finance.  He held several positions in engineering at Johns Manville until he retired in 1985.  After retiring from Johns Manville, Jim drove a school bus for eight years for Jefferson County Public Schools.
 
Jim was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be remembered by friends and family for his amazing wit and sense of humor.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, golfing, and Friday morning breakfasts and monthly card games with his fellow Manville retirees.   He will be missed greatly

A Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Light of the World Catholic Church. Military honors will follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
