I'm so sorry to hear this news. I loved working with this man. He treated me with such respect! My life as I know it was made better because of Jim Shamas & the "glory" Getty years! Words fail to express my gratitude nor explain my sorrow! We'll meet again..

I started work with Getty Oil in Tulsa in the pipeline group headed by Jim Shamas in 1978. It was the greatest group of people I ever worked with. We moved from Tulsa to Denver in 1980 going through all those mergers with him. Jim was a great leader and inspiration to us all. We will miss him dearly and offer our condolences to his family.
Sincerely,
Anwar and Pam Gopalani
