John Joseph Grahek

John Joseph Grahek, Jr., 85 of Highlands Ranch, Colorado passed away August 18, 2016.  John was born on March 22, 1931 in Pueblo, Colorado to John and Rose (Skala) Grahek.  He graduated from Central High School in Pueblo in 1948.  He served in the United States Air Force and the Air Force Reserves from 1949 to 1956.   He married Mary Louise Stone on September 22, 1951 in Pueblo.

Preceded in death are his parents John and Rose, an infant son John Robert, and his grandson Greg Barnes.

John worked at Grahek’s Grocery in Pueblo with his father and uncles for many years.  He also owned a television repair service.  Later he was a Sales Representative for Sigman Meat Company and Red Bird Farms before retiring in 1998.

Survived by his wife Mary, daughters Judy Barnes (Mark), Debbie Sacco (Tony), grandchildren, Doug Barnes (Lyndzi), Natalie Sacco, Elena Sacco, Talia Sacco, Amelia Sacco, great-grandson, James Barnes and brother-in-law, George Stone (LaRue).  

He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed reading, woodworking and spending time with his family.  His gentle, easy-going nature and friendly manner will be missed.

Family and friends are invited to a gathering following interment. Location to be announced at the services.
