LEE FITZGERALD OBITUARY
May 6, 1959-March 29, 2017
 

Lee Fitzgerald, 57, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.  A service will be held at Drinkwine Mortuary on April 7th at 2:00 p.m.

Lee was born on May 6, 1959, in Aurora, Colorado to Patricia and Jack Fitts.  His father was in the Air Force, so growing up Lee lived both all around the United States and abroad.  After high school, Lee served in the United States Coast Guard. Following his military service, he did everything from being a paramedic to teaching astronomy, before settling into his career in the field of dialysis.  Lee ended his career as a critical care specialist for NxStage Medical.

Lee loved playing the guitar, falconry, rock climbing, and new technology.  Traveling and new experiences were something he always enjoyed. His sharp sense of humor and ability to teach made him wonderful to be around.  He could talk to any one about any subject, and loved learning interesting facts to add to his repertoire.

But most of all, he loved his children, Michael and Libby.  He was so proud of the way they were growing up, and loved spending time with them.

Lee is survived by his wife Carolyn, his children Michael and Libby, and his brother, TJ Alger.
