Marilyn J. Detweiler

Marilyn J. Detweiler, 85, of Littleton passed away January 11, 2017. Marilyn was born in Renssalaer, Indiana to Edwin and Bertha Robinson. She was the youngest of 3 children. Marilyn graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Journalism. It was there that she met Bill, her husband of 62 years. He preceded her in death in 2015. She is also preceded in death by her sister Patsy McGloughlin and grandson Travis Detweiler.

Marilyn is survived by her brother Phil Robinson; sons Gary (Hedda) Detweiler, Dave (Linda) Detweiler and John (Sally) Detweiler;  grandchildren Laura Mitchell, Kelly (Amanda) Lively, Brittany Lively, Alex (Crystal) Detweiler and Melissa Detweiler; and great-grandchildren Bella Mitchell, Westin Mitchell, Roary Lively and Mia Lively.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 19th, at 10:30 AM at Drinkwine Family Chapel with a private burial at Littleton Cemetery. Reception to follow at Raccoon Creek Golf Course.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Marilyn's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 455 Sherman Street Suite 500, Denver, CO 80203.
