Mark William Culman

Mark William Culman, 54, passed from this world on June 23, 2016 after a long courageous battle with illness. He was born on July 11, 1961, in Denver, CO, to Barbara Smith and Louis P Culman. Mark attended Columbine High School and earned his welding certification at C.E.C. Mark was so proud of his sons.He enjoyed riding his Harley, welding, skiing, hunting, fishing and sailing among other things. Mark was a free spirit and will be missed forever.

He is predeceased by his grandparents: William and Pauline Smith, Leo & Ione Culman, and Helen DeWitt; great-aunts:Florence and Francis Smith, uncle Walt Stephenson, and cousins: William I. Smith and Craig Canady.

He is survived by his mother: Barbara Seal of Albuquerque, NM; father and stepmother: Louis and Marjorie Culman of Punta Gorda, FL; sons: Justin and Mitchell Culman and their mother and stepfather: Lynn Crist-Culman and Ike Nicholl of Denver, CO; sisters: Lynn (David) Gatewood of Albuquerque, NM; and Eleanore (Bert) Fish of Denver, CO; nieces and nephews: Daniel Gatewood of Las Vegas, NV, Miguel Gatewood of Albuquerque, NM, Nicole Gatewood of Albuquerque, NM and Sarah (Corey) Davis of San Diego, CA, great-nieces and nephews: Keira, Ava, and Nakai Gatewood of Las Vegas, NV and Carter Davis of San Diego, CA; aunts: Eleanore Irish of Yarmouth, ME, Lee Stephenson of Traverse City, MI, and Ann Canady of Denver, CO, cousins: Katie & Greg Carlisle of Traverse City, MI, Scott Canady of Denver, CO, Karen Canady &Rob Michelson of Los Angeles, CA, and Sarah & Jim Krantz of Seattle, WA.

The family would like to thank the staff at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, CO and the Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO and Tru Hospice of Northern Colorado for their care and kindness. 

Mark Culman's Celebration of Life will be held at Brooklyn's, 2644 W. Colfax Ave. Denver, CO  80204  (303) 572-3999 on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 2-7pm
