Martha Elaine Shacklette

Martha E. Shacklette, 69, of Littleton passed away January 15, 2017. Martha was born in Garnett, Kansas to Robert and Marjorie Wait. She was the youngest of 3 children. Martha attended Pittsburg State University in Kansas. It was there that she met Don, her husband of 50 years.  Martha and Don, after many moves and adventures with the military, finally settled in Littleton, Colorado in January, 1980.  She was preceded in death by her brother Michael Waite and both parents.

Martha is survived by her husband Don, brother John Waite; son Warren, daughter Meagan; grandchildren Caden Schafer, Chloe Schafer, Cianna Schafer, nephews Zeke Krause and Bill Waite and nieces Holly Rupp (Waite) and Jamie Waite along with many grand-nephews and nieces.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21st, at 1:30 PM at Drinkwine Family Chapel.  Reception to follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church - 5612 S. Hickory Circle, Littleton, CO (located behind Drinkwine Family Chapel) and all friends and family are welcome. A private committal ceremony will be on February 22nd at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
