Nancy Josephine Henderson

April 6, 1949 ~ November 24, 2016 (age 67) 67 Years Old

Mrs. Nancy Josephine Henderson (Cummiskey), age 67, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2016 at home with her loved one’s. Nancy was born April 6, 1949 in Mankato, Minnesota to Vincent and Blanche Cummiskey. Nancy moved to Colorado with her family in 1952 where they established themselves in Littleton, Colorado. She graduated from Littleton High School in 1967 and in her senior year met her husband of 48 years, Dennis Henderson.  Nancy stayed home and raised three girls, but rarely sat still. She loved staying home and instilled love and passion into her family every day. There was a home cooked meal every night.  She never missed a first day of school, gymnastic meet, volleyball game, soccer game, track meet, or play just to name a few. As her children grew up so did her friendship with them.  Cory, Heather, and Katie were some of her best friends. As her girls got married she finally got to have a couple boys in the family.  Her five grandchildren, Lara, Zach, Cade, Harper, and Jaxson have been some of the most important people in her life and they will tell you all about her sugar toast, banana bread and unconditional love. Nancy created a family that was happy, confident, close, and fun. Nancy is passionate about her love of the beach, traveling to Mexico with her family and Thanksgiving and Christmas at home. In addition to taking care of her family every day she was very involved with Creative Solutions working with Western Union and serving tacos at the Englewood Elks for many years. Nancy is survived by her husband Dennis Henderson, mother-in-law Corline Henderson, daughters Cory Kraft (Doug Kraft), Heather Roser (Todd Roser), Katie Switzer (Jarad Switzer), sister Bev Cummiskey, brother Tim Cummiskey (Susan Hobson), brother Tom Cummiskey (Ileen Cummiskey), sister-in-law Christy Conrardy (Keith Conrardy), five grandchildren and many extended family members.

Memorial Mass will be held Monday, December 5 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Reception immediately following at the Englewood Elks Club.
