Norma Adeline Norwood

Norma Adeline Norwood, 94, of Centennial, Colorado passed away Friday, November 10, 2017, at Masters Touch Homes. Norma was born September 11, 1923 in New Lisbon, Wisconsin, to Andrew and Sarah Lawrence. Norma loved her parents, and her 8 siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Arnold Lawrence, and Raymond Lawrence, three sisters, Hazel Westphal, Delores Mohr, and Mae Claussen. Surviving are one brother Robert Lawrence, and two sisters, Geneva Dussler, Joanne Ritchart .
Norma married Harvey Norwood on August 29, 1948 in Englewood, Colorado, and he preceded her in death in 1999. Three daughters were born to Harvey and Norma, Karin (Herk) Ingham, Diane (Kim) Nelson, and Patti (Joe) Bornhofen. Norma was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and delighted in her family. Also surviving are four grand children, Jim (Jill) Alcock, Luke Nelson, Lindsey (Michael) Ganschow, Lacey Nelson and 3 great grandchildren, Brooklynn Ganschow, Tucker Ganschow, Hunter Ganschow.
Upon high school graduation, Norma attended KSB Nurses School in Dixon, Illinois, and received her RN degree. She moved to Denver with two of her sisters and practiced nursing until 1978.
Norma loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and served him in many capacities, her entire life.  She will be missed.
A burial service will held at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Thursday , November 16th at 9:15am.
