Throughout the years, Phil would extend beyond homemaker, mother and wife to further support her family, taking jobs as a bookkeeper, Dairy Queen Manager and realtor.  Phil and Lew's constant love and devotion resulted in successfully raising seven college-educated children before enjoying retirement in Indianapolis, IN and finally Littleton, CO.

Lew and Phil enjoyed their retirement years in Colorado watching birds, feeding squirrels and patio gardening until Lew’s death in 2007, after which, Phil lived the rest of her years with her son Chris, and daughter Joyce close by.

Phil loved and appreciated her family and friends, and kept in touch by corresponding using her special handmade greeting cards.  She enjoyed photography, the mountains and seasons of Colorado, and cheering for the NASCAR team her son-in-law works for- the #78 with her favorite driver “Marty”. She was quite adept in technology, a real computer geek, she enjoyed everything from image editing to Words with Friends.

Phil truly missed her loving husband Lew and was anxious to be reunited with him.  The family celebrates that she is now back with her sweetheart to spend eternity together.

Phil will be lovingly missed by sons Doug (Kathy), Dayton OH; Tim (Sergio Galiano), Chicago, IL; Chris (Debbie), Littleton CO; Greg (Sue), Slidell LA; Matt (Susan), Ray Twp., MI; Lewis (Laura), Chicago, IL; and daughter Joyce (Joey) Kerrigan, Denver, CO.  She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren Evan, Jacob, Leanne, Cassandra, Tiffany, Zachary, Edison, Oliver and Eleanor Lain.   She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lewis R.
