Ron D’Arcy, 79, of Columbine Hills, passed away early Tuesday, November 15, after a long illness. Mr. D’Arcy was owner/operator of Her Majesty’s Chimney Sweeps during the 1980’s and then made a very logical career change to become a blackjack dealer at Colorado Central Station during the 1990’s. Upon retiring, he became an avid backyard farmer, devoted to the preservation of heirloom vegetables and flowers. A member of Seedsavers of America, he dispensed heirloom seeds to anyone who showed an interest.
Ron grew up in Southern California and moved to Colorado in 1970. He is survived by his wife Ellen, brothers Jim and Bob, sons Michael and Matthew, foster kids, grandkids, great grandson Bladeyn, nieces, nephews and many many friends.
He may be memorialized by planting an heirloom vegetable garden, flowers and trees all over the place. His remains will rest in a flower pot in his greenhouse.
A visitation/gathering is planned on December 3, 2016 from 2 -4 pm at Drinkwine Mortuary on Littleton Boulevard. Please come and share your memories of Ron. There will not be a viewing.
