Welcome to the memorial page for

Sandra Darlene Lowe

May 14, 1943 ~ October 4, 2016 (age 73) 73 Years Old

Sandra Darlene Lowe (née Goldberg) was born May 14, 1943 to Lorence and Alice Goldberg in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Growing up, she had an older brother, Paul, and a younger sister, Suzanne. On February 24, 1962 she married her husband Jim Lowe. Three children were born of this union, Steven, John, and Janice. She entered into eternal rest on October 4, 2016.
When the kids were all of school age, she went to school herself, earning an Associates Degree in Accounting from Arapahoe Community College in 1975. She then worked as Tax Accountant and Bookkeeper until the early nineties. At this point, she worked in the Real Estate field first in a Title office, then as a loan officer. She completed her career working for YMCA of the Rockies at the Littleton location, retiring in 2010.
She was deeply involved in her community and many social activities. She often volunteered at her church, St. James Presbyterian, and served as deacon for a time. She volunteered for the Littleton Town Hall Arts Center helping during events there. Most recently, she volunteered for Love INC of Littleton, CO. She was also an active member of the Red Hat society and of the Senior Access group at Faith Community Center in Littleton.
After raising her own family, her greatest joy in life was being 'Grammy' to her grandchildren: Nick, Teddy, and Charlie. She would attend as many activities and support whatever endeavors the grandkids were involved in.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lorence Goldberg and Alice (Peggy) Humphrey, stepfather William Humphrey, and husband James D. Lowe. She is survived by siblings Paul Goldberg and Suzanne Phipps, children Steven Lowe, John Lowe, and Janice Ernster, and grandchildren Nicholas Lowe, Theodore Ernster and Charles Ernster.
Hers was a life well-lived. She was a light and rock to her family. Her infectious laugh brightened any room. Her selfless service was an example to all. Her faith was strong and guiding. She is missed. Rest In Peace, Grammy, we love you.
