We were very saddened to hear the tragic news and we will miss Todd very much. We were lucky to work closely with Todd on “The Green Book”, our term for the Natural Attenuation book that we collaborated with along with Dr. John Wilson. Todd was energetic, knowledgeable, prescient, energetic, funny, driven, and a great co-author. He was one of the key people who figured out how to implement a vital technology that is now a large part of the groundwater remediation business. I still remember the proud moment when we all signed each other’s personal copies of the book after all of our hard work. While we have seen less of Todd in the intervening years, we will remember him as a wonderful person and a great partner in our field. Out thoughts and prayers go out to Todd’s family and friends.

Shocked and saddened to hear of Todd's passing. I had the privilege of attending his short course on natural attenuation of chlorinated contaminants some years ago, and found it the best such course I ever attended and a profound influence on my career.
My thought and condolences are with his family and, as a jug band musician for over fifty years, I'm hoping he'll be enjoying the music, wherever he is!

Tod’s Australian legacy in the fields of groundwater contamination assessment and remediation is significant. His knowledge, passion and energy influenced many environmental practitioners and regulators in this country and his published works remain practice benchmarks. I am sure that he still had a great deal more to offer us and he will be keenly missed. My condolences to his family and close friends.

Todd was a great guy.

I first met him over 20 years ago, we worked together at Parsons, and have kept up since. Todd was one of the brightest most creative people I have known, and from a professional point of view he was a real pioneer. Everyone in the remediation business knows his name.

More importantly he was a good man and a friend. He spent a weekend with me fishing in Florida and years later we kept arguing (in jest) over who caught the biggest redfish. We talked too long about doing it again but regrettably never did.

I have not met his old friends or family but I can tell you he talked about you a lot. I heard plenty of stories of catfish fishing with his father on the Mississippi, his uncle in Montserrat (I think it was), mountain biking with Zach, and so on. I know he was a happy man when he met Denise.

My sympathy to Todd’s friends and family, this has to be a tough time.

What a shock it was to hear those words. Todd had so much love for life and the outdoors. I used to call him the "Extremist" because any thing Todd did he did at 150% whether it was skiing, hockey, politics, bike riding, his career, hobbies, building things, even his tool collection was out of this world huge!!!!!

Although our marriage only lasted a short while, our friendship continued. We would check in with each other over the years and always remembered each other on our Birthday. When he would call me, the first thing out of his mouth every time was......."Hey, Wiedemeier!!!" He had such a great sense of humor. I will miss those bantering phone calls and texts as he was always such a positive man. I am truly thankful to have ended our last conversation on such a beautiful topic. Thank you Todd! You were AMAZING!!!!!!

I am stunned and saddened at the news of Todd's passing. I had the good fortune to meet and collaborate with Todd during our days at Parsons, and we shared a passion for quality in everything. McLaughlin technical papers with Todd remains a highlight of my career. I have much respect for my friend and colleague, with whom I had only recently reconnected. My sincere condolences to his family and friends - I will miss him.

I was so sorry to hear about Todd's passing. I got to know Todd during the Battelle Conferences where he presented, chaired sessions, and taught short courses. Todd was easy to work with and had a wonderful smile. I enjoyed seeing him at the difference conferences. He will be missed deeply. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

Todd was a great man. Although I hadn't seen him in years, I considered him one of my closest friends. We spent a lot of time in the mountains together in the '80s and enjoyed the hell out of that. We lifted a few beers together too. The world is a better place for Todd having been around and I am a better man for having known him. Peace be with you.

Denise, Todd was one of my greatest friends. We lived together in graduate school, argued politics, raced mountain bikes, worked in Belize together, argued and high-fived each other over rocks, and talked music forever. We were polar opposites on some topics, but that never kept Todd from being the best friend he could be to me. I'm glad to know that you two found each other and that Todd was happy with you. I feel a great void now. My deepest condolences. -Rick
