Vera Mae (Beaty) Krueger

Vera Mae Beaty Krueger passed away on Saturday July 29th 2017.  Her 96 wonderful years were characterized by her love for others, service to God and family, and an indomitable tenacity to overcome challenges.

She is preceded in death by her husband Carr C. Krueger and is survived by her son Carr (Lori) Krueger II; grandsons, T.C. (Katie) Krueger, Tyler (Vanessa) Krueger, and Taggart Krueger; nephew Jim Beaty; and nieces, Jody Sherwood and Jean Hutchins.  A funeral service will be held Aug. 7th, 11:30 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 999 E. Tufts Ave., Englewood, CO 80113.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Vera's name to LDS Humanitarian Services at the following: www.ldsphilanthropies.org/humanitarian-services

Vera’s formative years were shaped living through the great depression. Determined to get a college degree she took various jobs to put herself through school – something that a very small percentage of women did at that time. Her career included working for the CIA, working in the same facility where the atomic bomb was being engineered, running various business operations, leading sales teams, working as an accountant, and even being a multi-level marketer.

She was the definition of hard work; in her mid-70s she was still trying to work full time, partially out of necessity, and partially because she knew of nothing else.

She lived alone the last 21 years after the death of her husband in October 1996. The preceding 10 years she patiently served him as his health deteriorated and he was substantially bedridden.

We love her and feel so richly blessed that she was part of our lives.
