Barbara Louise Silver

Barbara Silver passed away on April 16, 2024 following a long illness and a fall. Barbara was born in Boulder, CO on August 12, 1931. She grew up in Boulder and attended the University of Colorado and the Denver Art Institute. Barbara had a long career as a fashion illustrator with May D&F, The Denver, Fashion Bar and as a freelance illustrator.

Barbara was the last survivor of four siblings, William T. Smith, John Smith, and Mary Smith Burke. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Bever (Jerry Bever), her son, John Silver (Elaine Silver) and her grandchildren Nathan Silver, Chris Edwards, and Audrey Edwards.

Barbara loved to cook and garden, read books and cared deeply about her family. She will be remembered in a private memorial at Fort Logan cemetery where she will be inured in the grave of her husband, John Silver who predeceased her in 2011.
