Harry Frontz, a proud Colorado native, died peacefully on March 11, 2024 at the age of 94 in Castle Pines, Colorado.
Harry is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Ann Frontz who died in 2016 and is survived by his 3 adult children, Cathie and her husband Steve, John and his wife Laurie, their three children Kyle, Taylor, Erica and her husband Kevin and great granddaughter Viviana, and Jasper and his wife Jennifer, their four children Katie, Megan, Nicholas, and Claire.
Harry was born on October 7, 1929 in Craig, Colorado to Harry K. Frontz, Jr. and Goldie Frontz. He attended Mesa College in Grand Junction, Colorado before enlisting in the Air Force during the Korean War where he was stationed in Japan. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Colorado and finished his college degree in Accounting/Business Administration from the University of Colorado – Boulder. He started his career at Price Waterhouse in public accounting but then accepted a job at Marathon Oil Company where he worked the rest of his career. He had a short time working for Marathon in Findlay, Ohio but then returned to Colorado to work the majority of his career at Marathon Oil’s research center in Littleton, Colorado. He retired in 1986 and then actively managed his retirement portfolio which allowed him to focus his efforts on his lifetime passion of investing. Harry was a devoted husband and father, always putting his family first. He loved living in Colorado and followed the local college and professional sports teams with passion.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled at 10:30 am on April 2, 2024 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Centennial, Colorado.
