Mary Blair Obituary

Mary Monica Blair was born on November 30,1940. She passed peacefully into the arms of Our Loving Savior on April 17, 2024. Mary was surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, mother Naomi Erhard Cooke Goldsmith and father Leo Emmett Cooke, Step-father, Darwin "Doc" Goldsmith, husband Austin Eugene Blair as well as her 4 siblings, in order of oldest to youngest: sister Veronica Cooke Walker, brothers, Leo "Bud" Cooke, William Cooke and sister Patricia Cooke Oestereicher.  Mary was the youngest of a beautiful family that began 101 years ago.

Mary is survived by her 4 children in order: Christopher Blair, Tamara Blair Castellari and her husband (Dan), Adam Blair and James Blair. She is also survived by her 4 beloved grandchildren in order: Talena Castellari, Talia Castellari, Tanna and Macky Castellari. Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews and numerous friends.

Mary was proud to graduate from Red Rocks Community College with an Art Degree. She did this as an adult! She made many painting's and sculptures. She LOVED giraffe's and cats! She also enjoyed dancing with her beloved husband at The Historic Trocadero Ballroom at Elitch Gardens to the classic music of, "The Glenn Miller Orchestra" and many other greats.

Mary also survived two different cancers that had gone into remission for over 20 years.

Her favorite flowers were pansies, and her favorite holiday was Mother's Day. 

Mary was a kind, loving, caring and devoted mother and friend to many that will be greatly missed until we see her again at the feet of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and reunite FOREVER! FAMILIES ARE FOREVER! May our loving Father in Heaven hold sweet Mary in His embrace.

A Memorial Service and Mass will be held for Mary @ St. Frances Cabrini Church on May 9th @ 10:30am, with special military tribute and ceremony where both Mary and her U.S. Navy Veteran husband, Austin E, Blair, will be buried together @ Fort Logan National Cemetery @ 12:15pm.
