Patricia “Pat” Ann Clarine (Compton) Trowbridge was born on June 20, 1933, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, and peacefully departed from this world on March 7, 2024, surrounded by loving family members. Pat was the cherished daughter of Merle and Mabel (Bean) Compton, and the beloved sister of Donna Wright and Carmen Murray. Her brother Ronald Compton predeceased her. After marrying William “Bill” E. Worth, on August 2, 1952, Pat embraced her role as a devoted wife and mother.
Pat's life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family, community, and faith. She and Bill had five children, Daryl Worth, William W. Worth, Sharon K. De Luca, Norma J. Faller, and Patricia S. Worth. The family had moved to Englewood, Colorado in 1958. Pat was an integral part of their neighborhood and church community. She attended several churches during her lifetime and played the piano for the church services.
Pat went to work when her youngest child turned 21 years old. She worked for the State of Colorado, as a medical transcriptionist, until her retirement. Pat loved music and played the piano most of her life. After her husband, Bill, passed away in 1993, Pat married Lincoln P. Trowbridge, on October 14, 1999, in Broomfield, CO. Lincoln played the stand-up bass. Together they played at nursing homes around the Denver metro area with a musical group called the Melody Makers. Pat also played the accordion and was in a group of accordionists that played at Octoberfest on Larimer Street in downtown, Denver.
Pat will be fondly remembered for her sweetness, kindness, resilience, and boundless compassion. Pat was predeceased by both her husbands, her sons, Daryl, William, and her daughter, Patricia S. Worth. Her legacy lives on through her family: her daughters Sharon De Luca and Norma Faller, and her son-in-law, James De Luca, grandchildren Lisa Faller, Joshua Faller, Brittany Faller, Jennifer Good and her husband David, Timothy Collier and his wife, Iza, as well as her great-grandchildren Asher, Isaac, Kiera, Aubriella, Eleanor, Annabell, Jeremy, Bodhi, Amelia, Jacob, Michael, Cameron, Jemma, and Maci, and her sister, Carmen Murray.
A celebration of Pat's remarkable life will be held at Drinkwine Mortuary in Littleton, CO, on Tuesday, March 26, at 11:45 am, followed by a service at Fort Logan National Cemetery, and a reception at her daughter’s home in Littleton. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to raise much needed funds to cover the funeral expenses. Though Pat may have left this world, her memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched with her warmth, wisdom, and love.
