A. Louise Gershon Clark

December 10, 1932 – August 17, 2019

Louise Clark was born on December 10, 1932 to Frank Schroyer and Zelda Fox (Belknap) in Great Falls, MT. They moved to Spokane, WA when she was eleven. She loved spending the summers in Great Falls with her grandmother Fox and her 7 uncles, where she had many adventures. After graduating from high school she went to Richland, Washington where she worked for General Electric.

Louise married Paul Gershon on September 21, 1955, and lived in Spokane, WA for many years. They moved to Denver in 1971. They were married for 22 years, until his death in 1977. They had 6 children. She was a keypunch operator at Denver University for many years. Louise worked for IBM for 13 years and finished her career as an Asset Manager. Later Louise married Marvin Clark in 1982 and they were married until his death in 2005. They enjoyed traveling with Zelda to Hawaii and Alaska.

Louise was full of wisdom and loved learning. She loved to read, and subsequently, joined a neighborhood Book Club, where she found and cherished life‐long friends. Louise was full of energy and was very active her whole life. She skied and ice skated into her 70’s, she was a yoga instructor, and she was an avid competitive tennis player. For the past 12 years, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her dear friend Bob, from New York City. He enriched her life in many ways with tales of his travels and their shared experiences. She loved visiting Oaxaca, New York, and London. Her passion was art. She painted and drew for many years. She was a volunteer docent at the Denver Art Museum. She always kept up with the latest in technology and proudly followed her children and grandchildren on Facebook.

Louise was preceded in death by Paul Gershon. She is survived by her six children, David Gershon (spouse Paula) of Roseville, CA, Craig Gershon (spouse Becky) of Littleton, CO, Mark Gershon (spouse Barb) of Littleton, CO, Paula Wilcoxen (spouse Pete) of Syracuse, NY, Leslie Gershon (spouse Cheri Pluta) of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Valerie Weinreich (spouse Chris) of Aurora, CO. She has 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her stepsister Donna McGinnis (spouse John) of California.

Services will be held on Monday, August 26 at 10:30 at Drinkwine Family Mortuary at 999 W. Littleton, CO, with a reception following.
