Agnes Irene Rockwell

As much as we are heartbroken, it is with great joy that the family of Agnes I. Rockwell must announce that on February 21, she went home to be with our Heavenly Father. Agnes was born to Ula W. Walter (Fuqua) and Raymond E. Walter on March 6, 1926 in Kearney Nebraska. She was the third oldest child and the oldest daughter out of 11 children. Agnes grew up in Nebraska. She moved to Wyoming after meeting her husband Aaron Lee Siemsen. They married in February 1946 and worked at a restaurant until approximately 1954 when they moved to Pueblo Colorado. She was involved with Beta Sigma Phi in Pueblo and she was a homemaker until just after her husband died in 1966. At that time, she purchased Queens Pantry, a gourmet food store. It was there that she met ‘Rocky’ Albert Lyle Rockwell and they were married in October 1969. They moved to Englewood Colorado in the early 70’s and she traveled a lot with Rocky as he was a gourmet food salesman. She eventually worked in administration with the Cherry Creek School District which is where she retired from.  She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 193 for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 7 siblings; Norman, Wayne, Esther, Mary Ellen, Art, Gerald & Roy, 2 of her 4 children; Patrick & Ronnie and 1 Great Grandchild; Lucas.

Her surviving siblings are Kenneth (Norma Jean)Walter, Janet (Larry) Jones & Waunetta Walter. Agnes leaves behind a legacy of 2 Children; Kathi (John) Shurtz, Mike (Carol) Siemsen, 9 Grand Children, 21 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren, with 1 more on the way! She also had numerous relatives of Rocky’s that she considered her dear family.

Agnes would have been 93 on March 6th and was still living on her own in Denver. Because of the blessing she was to us all, it is on this day, March 6, 2019, together with family and friends, we will celebrate her birthday.

Funeral Service to be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM and reception to immediately follow at Drinkwine Family Mortuary.

Interment will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Mountain View Cemetery, Pueblo, Colorado.
