Alda "Blanche" Nelson

BLANCHE A. NELSON

Alda Blanche Nelson was born on June 7, 1915 on a farm in Warrick County, Indiana. She was the first child of Carrie Adella Oxby and Ralph Ezra Robertson. Three years later they moved to Pike County in Monroe Township.

She started school in Spurgeon, Indiana and went to Spurgeon High School and then moved and graduated from South High School in Denver, Colorado. She went on to be a nanny after graduation.

She married Paul Robert Nelson of Winslow, Indiana on May 19th and moved to Littleton, Colorado. Their  first son was born and they kept the Robertson & Nelson Cafe running until May 1941 when they sold and she then she started working in the banking business until she retired in 1977. She then took care of her granddaughter Bonnie. 

Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Drinkwine Family Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Masonic/Weston Lodge #22 Littleton, CO in Blanche's memory.
