In Loving Memory of Angela Antonia Watters

August 2, 1939 – March 10, 2018

Angela “Angi” Watters, 78 of Littleton, Co died March 10, 2018. She was born August 2, 1939 and grew up in Aberdeen, SD after the Depression years with her mother Barbara Goldade and her 2 sisters, Lucille and Julie. Her father, and namesake, Angelo Tony Di Re, died when she was only seven. Angi was an outspoken Italian, middle child, and a Leo. She graduated from Central High School in 1957, and kept up with many classmates on Facebook until her health declined.

A talented artist and painter, Angi gave up a full-ride art scholarship for love. She met David Watters at a car hop. They courted for a while, and she married her best friend and eternal companion August 19, 1957. They were married for 54 years. They almost adopted a child from an Indian reservation, but later, as a good Catholic, she had 6 children of her own in a short seven-year timeframe. They were partners in both David’s engineering firm David Watters & Associates, as she was his executive assistant, receptionist, and accounts payable manager all-in-one. They also had a successful horse business, David Watters/Angela Arabians. Her first horse she had as a teenager was named Buddy.  The love for horses quickly grew and soon she oversaw a ranch with over 40 of her beloved Arabian Horses. 

Dave passed away October 11, 2011. They are both survived by their six children: Carmen Clark (Bruce), Kimberly, Julie, Barry, Brian, and Melinda Miller (Steve), her 3 grandsons David, Derek, and Dusten Clark, and her loving sister Julie Terry (Ward) and the Terry’s 2 children Seth Terry (Jennifer), and Nicole Terry.

Memorial Services will be held on March 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Drinkwine Family Chapel.  A Celebration of Life reception will follow immediately at the Northgate Event Center 3880 S. Lowell Blvd., Denver, CO from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.
