Art was born in 1935 at home in Littleton CO he was the youngest of 6 children to Edith and Garnons Davis. Being raised in Littleton during the Great Depression times were very hard. They got through the depression by working hard and having a great work ethic. This work ethic has been passed down through the generations.
When Art was raising his four kids he played on church sport teams. He enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. Another one of his loves was the DENVER BRONCO’s! He could talk for hours listing players, coaches, and stats going back to 1960.
He started in the automobile industry working in a Dodge dealership and soon after for his future father-in-law at Kulu Auto Parts and Used Cars.
Art changed his life in many ways buying 35 acres of land near FairPlay, CO. He built a big home totally off the grid which was quite challenging in the 1980’s. However, he was not done yet with changes. He sold that property relocating to Akron CO and then onto Yuma CO in 2000. Art enjoyed the eastern plains and has many friends in the Yuma area.
Art always was making a deal either on a house, car, truck, auto parts and many other items always enjoying the wheeling and dealing with people. He loved to talk and meet new friends and above all he liked to DANCE!!!!
Preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and youngest son Jeff. Survived by Son Douglas, two daughters Vickie and Denise (Martha), three grandson’s Jeramy, William (Ann), Tommy (Lisa), Seven Great Grandchildren, Nyomi , Payton, Bailey, Ava, Sophie, Dawson Airanna and many nieces and nephews
When you think of Art it is hard not to smile, with his energy and quick wit always brought a smile to your face. We will miss him dearly. God Bless
