Betty Jo Lemmons
Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband Arthur, in 2002, and survived by her children Robert, Clinton, Richard, and Sheryl; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Betty was born in Winslow, Indiana, to coal miner Claude Beadles. Her mother died two days after Betty was born and was raised by Minnie and Charles Crowe. In 1946, she married Arthur Lemmons of Princeton, Indiana. The family moved to Littleton, Colorado, in 1962, along with her adopted mother, Minnie, who lived with Betty and Art until her death in 1993. Betty worked primarily as the bookkeeper for Woolworth in the Woodlawn Shopping Center and University Hills Plaza while raising her children. Betty enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, and playing the piano and organ. She and husband Arthur were active in both camping and square-dancing clubs. She was a loving mother and provider. After Arthur’s passing, she lived in her Centennial home with son Robert who cared for her until her passing.
