Charles LaRue Robbins, Jr. was born April 30, 1956 in Tunkhannock, PA. He passed from this life at dawn on September 13, 2019, at the age of 63, after a short battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Sr. and Doris May (Persun) Robbins and a brother Steven Henderson Robbins (Karen). He is survived by brothers, Clark K. (Sharrie) Robbins, Donald E. (Donna) Robbins, Richard L. (Eileen) Robbins and a sister Linda M. Thorp (Dan). Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends, including special friends Brian and Krystal O’Connell.
Charles grew up in rural Pennsylvania in dairy country where his heart was always desiring to return. After graduating from high school in Troy, PA, he joined the US Army where he served in Germany, Texas, California among other places. After his military service Charles drove tractor trailer off and on through the rest of his life which suited his wandering spirit. He settled in Colorado where he lived for the last year during his battle with cancer. Charles will be missed by everyone who he met through his positive attitude and infectious smile.
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday September 26, 2019 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
