David Ben Ybarra

David “Dave” Ben Ybarra passed away peacefully in his Highlands Ranch home, aged 52, on December 10, 2019 alongside his wife Carmella following an intensive 26-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

Dave is also survived by their daughters Kayla and Anna, his parents Marty (Penny) Ybarra and Berta (Matt Anderson) Guzman as well as his sister Teresa Walsh.  He is preceded in death by his grandmother Margaret Guzman and father-in-law Max Rivera.

Dave, born on November 6, 1967 in his hometown of Fort Collins, Colorado, was a beloved son, grandson, brother, cousin, uncle, nephew, husband, father and friend.

In lieu of flowers, his family requests that honorable observances be expressed by way of donations to Pancreatic Cancer Awareness at PanCan.org and Lustgarten Foundation (Lustgarten.org) which is dedicated toward pancreatic cancer research.

A celebration of Dave’s life will begin on Tuesday, December 17th at 7PM with a rosary service at Drinkwine Mortuary.  A funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 18th at 11AM.
