Donald R. Liss, age 68, of Littleton, Colorado passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on November 23, 2018. Born November 11, 1950 in Bay City, Michigan, “Donny” made his home in Colorado.
He greeted those he met with a firm handshake and a warm smile. He greeted those he loved with a hug you never wanted to end. He always gave the best hugs.
Donny had many passions: His service to his country in the Navy, his career in construction, projects around the house, camping trips with family and friends, golf with his buddies and boys, cheering for the Denver Broncos, cooking dinner for his family, and of course, spending time with the love of his life, his dear wife “Jenny”.
Donny was a hard worker and good provider who loved his family and friends without conditions. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
Donny is survived by his wife, Jeanette; his sons Joshua Liss (Kindra) of Littleton, and Andrew Liss (Brigette) of Castle Rock; and his grandchildren Kaleigh, Justin, Ryenne and Emerson. He is also survived by his mom, Renate Liss of Sherwood, Oregon; his brothers Michael Liss (Denise) of Dublin, California, John Liss (Dana) of Highlands Ranch and Ric (Nerie) Quinn of Las Vegas, Nevada; and his sister, Christina Liss (Brian) of Phoenix, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald V. Liss, and his son, Justin Donald Liss.
Funeral service for Donny will be held at Drinkwine Mortuary, 999 W. Littleton Blvd., on Thursday, November 29 and 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Seven Stones Cemetery. A reception will follow at their home
