I'm very sorry to hear that John has passed. He was a great man who I worked for in the lab for a while. I used to ride King (horse) at his house on Orchard Road. If anyone ever reads this, I have a few photos of John & Dotsie you can have, just e mail me.

My deepest sympathy to your whole family. We all loved Dr. Vacek, and he was also my dentist. I still have cap teeth that he put in, which has to speak for his work ethic. I worked at the Crestwood for Pete and Mary for many years, and Dr. Vacek tried to get me into dental assistant, but I couldn't see getting into peoples mouths, but later in my 50's, I became a Medical Assistant. He must of had some insight as to my future. My Mom, brother Jim, and I loved him so. Our prayers!

I am saddened to hear of Dr Vacek's passing. He was my Dentist until he retired all through my childhood! I will miss his loving smile and BIG spirit that was always left behind after he would see me.
He never said no to our family, pulling my baby tooth on a Saturday evening in his front garden with his huge St Bernard!
We were also blessed to share our wedding with he and Dotsy in Glenwood.
He was more than just our family dentist he was a wonderful family friend.
Amazing memories Dr Vacek....many prayers for the next part of the journey.

Our family sends great love and prayers to the family! What a great smile to miss!!!

I'm so sorry to hear of Dr. Vacek's passing. He was my dentist when I was a young girl, and the dentist for our entire family, at the little brick building (old house maybe) on Littleton Blvd, across from the Crestwood. I still have fillings he put in. I did not have great teeth as a child and I never really looked forward to going to the dentist but he was a nice, caring man. I know my Mom thought a lot of him, she passed last year. I'll never forget the dentist office smell when you walked in the door or the Children's Highlights magazines. Rest in peace Dr. Vacek and thank you for all you did for me and my family. I'll always remember you. My condolences to his family.
