Elaine L.R. Halford

Elaine Louise Robinson Halford, age 82 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday August 25th, 2017. From her birth on September 26th, 1934 to her death on Friday she nourished people around her with love. Elaine married James G. Halford on January 2nd, 1951 and together they had five sons and two daughters. Elaine’s career was a full-time mother and her entire life was devoted to her family. We were all touched by her huge love for life and laughter. She had an uncanny ability to make people laugh and adore her. She was a positive, happy, loving and trusting person, who always maintained a sense of humor and brightened the room wherever she went and could make a friend in less than a minute.  In addition to her own children she “adopted” many others; everyone was welcome to be part of the family.  She was the most generous person and loved giving gifts and praise to her kids and everybody that met her; nobody left her presence without being called beautiful, gorgeous, handsome, famous or special.  She never found fault or shortcomings in her children, in her eyes we could do no wrong because we were her angels. Elaine boasted about her seven angels daily! She will be greatly missed, but her spirit for life will be easily carried on. She is survived by her seven children, Doug (wife Jean), Michael (wife Amber), Kirk (wife Anne), Tami Halford-Knopping, Scott (partner Matthew Breeden), Meg and Terry (wife Jacki); 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Family, friends, and others whose lives Elaine touched are invited to the Littleton United Methodist Church on Saturday September 9th, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. a celebration of life reception will follow directly after the service at Hudson Gardens at the Inn reception building at 6115 South Sante Fe Drive in Littleton, Colorado 80120. The reception will be from 11:30-2:00 p.m. and food and beverages will be served. Everybody please join us!
