Eva Mae Fick

January 17, 1934 ~ March 16, 2017 (age 83) 83 Years Old

Eva Mae Fick, 83, passed away March 16, 2017 in Centennial, CO.  Funeral Services will be held at Highlands Baptist Church in Centennial on March 21, 2017 at 1:30 pm.  She will be buried in Blanchard, OK.

Eva was born in Morley, Missouri to Frank and Opal Hewett on January 17, 1934.  She went to school at Middleburg, OK and graduated in 1952.  She went on to learn a secretary trade at Draughon’s Business School.  She was beautiful, adventurous, energetic, and fun.  Through the eyes of her youngest sister, she was a role model of a strong independent young woman who always made time for the people she loved.  She made her baby sister feel special and loved.  She loved classic cars of yesteryear and had many a picture leaning against her latest pride and joy.  She moved to Colorado in the 1960’s.   Prior to getting married she participated in many adventures which included a trip to Norway and many family trips and adventures.  She married Roger June 16, 1979 and became a step mother to Mike, Mark and Mollie.  She captured the hearts of those kids and was always so proud of them.  She attended Highland Baptist Church for many years and volunteered in the nursery.  She retired as a Printer from the Denver Post after 30 years of service.  She and Roger began splitting their time between Colorado and Oklahoma.  They spent many years and hours remodeling the farm house her father had built in hopes of moving back home to the family farm.

Eva is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Opal; one sister Willa; and one brother Charlie.

Eva is survived by her husband Roger of Centennial; step sons Mike and Linda of Chandler, AZ  and Mark and Irene of Thornton, CO; step daughter Mollie of San Antonio, TX; sister Sudie and Ron of Blanchard, OK; brother-in-law Barty of Fort Collins, CO; sister-in-law Martha of Littleton, CO; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Lung Association, American Alzheimer’s Association, or the American Heart Association.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Pinnacle Hospice Care for their support and care in her final days.
