Eva Mae was my grandmother's niece. Not really sure what that makes her to me. We always lumped all of Aunt Opal's kids together as "cousins," I suppose that will work. It has been quite a few years since I saw here. I moved to Virginia over 15 years ago, while he returned to visit Oklahoma more often than I did, none of those trips ended up at the same time. I know that my mother is very sorry to hear that she is no longer with us. It was always a special time when she and Sudie Mae would visit. They would all go to lunch together.

We worked with Eva at the Denver Post for several years. Eva was a very good person. In the last few years, we did not see her as much as we wish we had. We will miss her greatly.
