Gene Hendrix, formerly known as Kenneth Eugene Hendrix of Littleton, CO, was born to Charlie and Christine Hendrix February of 1934 in Oregon, MO.
Gene attended Lafayette High School in St. Joseph, MO. Upon graduation, he entered the Air Force in 1951 flying mission during the Korean War as a radio operator.
Gene married the love of his life, DiAnn DeBacker in 1959. Among his many talents, he spent most of his professional career in the banking industry. The memories we have together that we hold dear with Gene are camping and fishing, choir at St. Frances Cabrini Church, dance workshop and genealogy. He was a man that emulated "Faith and Family".
Gene is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy DiAnn DeBacker Hendrix ; brother and sister-in law Willard and Judy Hendrix; sons Mark (Barb) Hendrix and Greg (Beth) Hendrix; daughter Patty (Robert) Torrey and Janine (Dorian) Sadeghi; eight grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Viewing & Visitation on Wednesday, May 2nd 8:30 - 9AM; Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 9AM, both at Drinkwine Family Mortuary.
Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 2nd 10:30AM at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church; Committal Service to follow with full military honors at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 12:15PM, Staging Area C.
