Helen O. Bulthaup

Helen Olga Bulthaup passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 13th, 2017 at the age of 94.  Helen was born in Desloge, Missouri on November 7th, 1922.  On April 26th, 1945 she married Leo Bulthaup in St. Louis, Missouri.  Helen is survived by her daughter, Jane Hoagland, son-in-law Gary, and grandchildren, Connor and Kristi.  

Helen was a lifelong avid golfer having won the ladies club championship at MacGregor Downs Country Club in Cary, N.C. in 1976.  She was a true follower of fashion and had a wonderful flair for decorating and design.  She had several opportunities to have a career in either field, but chose to be a devoted wife and mother.  She volunteered at several local hospitals while living in North Carolina.  Helen will always be remembered as an active and loving grandmother and dedicated wife and mother.  Most people that have known Helen would describe her as a strong thoughtful woman with a love for life and amazing perseverance.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Red Cross.
