Jacquelyn Mager, 94, passed away October 19, 2018, feeling the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Carrol, who was killed in WWII, as well as her second husband, Walt Mager, whom she was married to for only 19 years when he passed. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and several great great nieces and nephews.
She was born in Denver to Glenn and Ruth Van Bebber. Jackie's childhood was filled with fun and adventure, dancing and traveling with her parents and brother, Bob. She also traveled with her singing trio through High School and after, performing all around Colorado. She was very talented.
She lived in several cities including Los Angeles as a child and then when she married Walt, they lived in several states including New York, Ohio, Texas but Denver was always home. Jackie was also a part of the family store in Littleton, doing the bookkeeping for Van B's Mens' Store. She had a very special group of friends from Jr. High and High School that she had a once a month dinner club with until their late 80’s and also traveled the world with, calling themselves “The ‘42 Club”. They were all so close, especially her best friend for more than 80 years, Patty Horst Rhodes. In later years, she loved lunching with nieces and nephews, her brother, Bob and his wife Florence. Jackie was a strong and fascinating woman who loved jazz, her lovely home and, most of all, her friends and family. She will be dearly missed.
