Jim was the best friend we could asked for, he is most fondly remembered for his smile, sense of humor, outgoing nature and love for his family and friends. We had many cups of coffee over the years where he got me interested in the Old West Museum, CFD, railroads, and the history in Harriman while enjoying their incredible home. A truly delightful man who is sorely missed and will always be remembered.

God Bless Jim McShane

Steve and Claudia Weirich

Our sincere sympathies go out to a real gentleman. Jim was a real sincere listener.
We will keep him in our prayers and thoughts. He will just never be forgotten when I think of someone who made a difference at the C.F.D. Art Show. A wonderful attribute!

Jim was a mentor to me and a guiding force for the CFD Old West Museum. He stepped into the roll of Board President as I stepped into the roll of Director. He worked tirelessly to ensure the financial viability of the Museum. Under his presidency we updated our exhibits, increased staff, renovated the Vandewark Wing and started plans to expand the Museum. He loved the Museum and he and GiGi and family are members of the Endowment Fund, contributors to our Contemporary Western Art collection, presenter of the Marietta Dinneen interactive Carriage Kiosk and donors of our own CFD champion saddle. We are so thankful for his passion for the history of the American west and Cheyenne Frontier Days. His legacy will live on through the Museum and we will miss him.

Jim you will be dearly missed. I really enjoyed our visit at Columbine and the friendship you gave. I will never forget the proclamation and the pink handcuffs, every time I think about you I think about that. You were a very busy man but you always took out time to make us smile. And to GUgi, Kelly, and Michael I know this is a very difficult time but try to stay strong and be there for each other. Your friends and family will always be there for you if you need anything.

Jim will be fondly remembered and missed as a friend and neighbor. His battle against his illness was nothing short of amazing; your care and love for him equal to his determination and resolve. Our deepest sympathies to you on Jim's passing.
