Jeannine Zimmerman, of Aurora, passed away this last Sunday, April 29th. A native of St. Joseph, Missouri, she spent most of her adult life in Colorado. She graduated from Englewood High School and later graduated summa cum laude from the Colorado Women’s College, with a BA in Psychology, and from the University of Colorado at Denver with a MA in Criminal Justice. She worked for seventeen years in the crime lab for the Aurora Police department and later served for fifteen years on the Civil Service commission with the fire and police departments of Aurora.
Jeannine is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Matthew Zimmerman and Holly Porter, Mark and Tali Zimmerman, Brian and Susan Zimmerman, and Jeremy and Sharon Zimmerman.
Services will be at 12:30 PM, May 3rd at South Suburban Church in Littleton. A simple graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, May 3rd at the Littleton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a contribution in her name to the Denver area chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
