Kathleen Winkel Obituary

Kathleen "Kay" Ann Winkel passed away on Saturday, June 9th, 2018.  She was 77 years old.

Kay was born to La Vera (Clark) & Harry Cunningham in Aurora, IL on October 30th, 1940.

She was preceded in death by both parents, older brother Richard "Dick" Cunningham, and younger brother Jack Cunningham.

She is survived by older sister Sharon (Joe) Schutz of Colorado Springs, CO, younger brother Clark "Butch" (Brigitte) Cunningham of Durango, CO, sister-in-law Barb Cunningham of Kingswood, TX, sister-in-law Cindy Cunningham of Littleton, CO and brother-in-law Paul (Barbara) Winkel of Littleton, CO.

Kay married Ronald "Ron" M. Winkel in May of 1960.

Four children Keith Winkel of Littleton, CO, Theresa "Tracy" (Dean) Schmith of Parker, Carol (Rob) Webber of Litteton, CO, and Joseph "Joe" Winkel of Frederick, CO.

Seven grandchildren Gavin & LIam Winkel (Keith), Macey, Jessica and Jack Webber (Carol), Kameron & Collin Winkel (Joe).

Kay worked for the City of Englewood for 6 years, reatil at King Soopers for 20 years, and O'Toole's Garden Center for 13 years.

Mom's heartwarming smile and infectious laugh are like none we have ever known, and we feel so blessed to have this angel as our wife and mother.  She will be dearly missed.

"What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity".

 A Memorial Mass will be Friday June 15, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church with a reception to follow.  A private family committal service will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at a later date. Full obituary to be posted soon.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to your charity of choice in Kay's memory.
